Album originally recorded in 2001.
Re-Mastered 2020/21, at the Hive recording, Somerset.

*NOTE*

Due to an admin error, the wrong files were sent to the production company, the files contained, were audibly very close to the master of the original pressing. Once spotted, a further pressing was made with different colour 'Kangaroo Moon' (Yellow) writing on the CD face.
The one that was sent out at first, before noticing was Blue writing (close to original pressing).

As an interesting experiment, (and to avoid wasted CD's), both the CD's were included in the package, (weird, I know, and possibly a first, although it shouldn't catch on).

But there are advantages..

1) The 2 masters are very different (20% different, according to a geeky analysis tool i used), and one may sound much better, on different systems, and you now have what it sounded like before Re-Mastering (mostly)

2) You now have 2 CD's, one for the car, one for home?..

3) Cd's are notoriously unreliable, and one may not work/stop working.

4) Because of the need to now accommodate 2 CD's in one card sleeve pouch, an idea came about to have a protective plastic sleeve with a CD pocket which means theres somewhere to keep the CD thats easier than taking it out of the cover, meanwhile the cover is protected (and the other CD..

5).Theres a million different ways to change sound (exponential these days), and you can't please everyone, but sometimes its possible to cook four poached eggs, and them all have the same yolk consistency.

6) I'm scrabbling around for further excuses to cover up my mistake

Basically, there's a lot to the new master that brings out the twinkly bits, the solid drumming, and general precision of playing, that the original master may may not have picked up on so much. I'm hoping you will enjoy the difference, for Viva it.

You may not know what I'm talking about, regarding 'Masters' so then just enjoy a great album however you want to.

I'm enjoying a huge rediscovery of Gong thanks to my children and Steve Hillage/Miquette Giraudy! Although my children have loved trawling through my wide and varied music collection and have each taken their own particular favourites with them, I didn't expect them to react to Gong in the way they have. It started when my youngest son and I went to see the Steve Hillage Band (Gong) last year. I played him Camembert Electrique to show him who Gong were, and it was like I'd electrified him! hobodaddi
